Megan Denha has joined Encore Real Estate Investment Services as General Counsel of the firm. She specializes in handling a wide array of legal matters that impact the firm while ensuring all brokers properly comply with state laws, as business is being transacted in over forty states.
Megan was the first student to participate in Oakland University’s 3+1 partnership with Wayne State Law school. She completed her undergraduate degree in just two years, graduating from Oakland University Magna Cum Laude. Megan was immediately accepted to Wayne State Law School obtaining the Provost Scholarship for academic achievement.
At Wayne Law, Megan was involved in courses pertaining to business transactions, negotiations, , and analyzing urban development. Moreover, she participated in the transactional law competition to strengthen both her analytical and contract drafting skills. She graduated from law school in two and half years with honors and passed the Michigan Bar Exam upon graduation.
During law school Megan interned with a Michigan based law firm in their eminent domain division. Her job focused on eminent domain necessary for modern infrastructure. Before joining Encore Real Estate Investment Services, Megan was employed at a Michigan based business law and litigation firm which services national corporations. Her practice involved construction, architectural, and engineering litigation.
Megan is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Chaldean Bar Association, and is proactively working with lobbyist groups to preserve the benefits of 1031-exchanges.
Megan is a driven practitioner. Her legal background has proven invaluable when assisting clients in commercial deals. In short, she is fully equipped to analyze every aspect of a deal – due diligence, title matters, and drafting purchase agreements – she can do it all. She is motivated to preserving Encore’s brand in the commercial real estate arena and beginning this new chapter in her career.
